DDR3 and DDR4
Read the motherboard's manual for the type and amount of memory you can use.
When selecting RAM memory modules you should consider the following:
Memory moduals must be matched. The same model, speed and manufacturer should be used.
The current styles of memory in use today are DDR3 and DDR4. For a good description of the differences between DDR3 and DDR4

RAM memory should be selected with the correct Architecture same manufacturer and part number. In other words, (Architecture) The correct type of memory required to be used as called out on the Mother Board's specifications current styles are DDR3 and DDR4. If more than one memory module is needed, they should be the same manufacturer and model number and speed.
